Condition Monitoring Pod (1)The Condition Monitoring Pod (CMP) from Luneta is a multi-parameter device for expanding daily lubricant inspections. The CMP is a visible inspection window providing a method of inspecting machine health without the need for laboratory analysis. It includes a built-in oil sampling port, an easy-to-remove magnetic plug, a corrosion/ varnish inspection probe, and quick lubricant access point for syringe sampling. Best applications include gearboxes, bearing oil sumps, hydraulic reservoirs, compressor oil reservoirs, turbine-generator main oil tanks and paper machine central reservoirs.

ABB’s Denise Stanislawczyk to receive Women in Manufacturing STEP award

The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, announced that they will honor ABB’s Denise Stanislawczyk with the prestigious Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award next month in Washington, DC. The 2014 awards will honor 160 women throughout the manufacturing industries in the United States. Stanislawczyk is Operations Manager of ABB’s Measurement Products factory in Warminster, PA.

The STEP Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the executive-suite.

ExxonMobil Celebrates Singapore Chemical Plant Expansion

ExxonMobil reinforced its long-term supply commitment to the Asia-Pacific market Tuesday during an event celebrating the expansion of its Singapore chemical production facility.

“Global chemical demand will grow at a faster pace than GDP as people seek higher standards of living and purchase more household and packaged goods manufactured with chemical products,” Rex W. Tillerson, Exxon Mobil Corporation chairman and chief executive officer, said at the event.

“Two-thirds of that growth in chemical demand will be here in the Asia-Pacific region. ExxonMobil’s expanded Singapore chemical plant is uniquely positioned to serve these growth markets – from China to the Indian subcontinent and beyond.”
