Fluke Clamp Meters Add Logging and Wireless Data Transfer

F-376fc_16a_600x402

Often the most frustrating task for electricians and maintenance technicians is to troubleshoot intermittent faults because they rarely occur at convenient times. The new Fluke Connect-enabled 370 FC Series Clamp Meters log measurements to pinpoint intermittent faults precisely without the need for the technician to be present. Those measurements are then wirelessly transmitted to the Fluke Connect app on smartphones or tablets and automatically uploaded to the cloud, keeping technicians outside the arc flash zone and away from dangerous moving machinery, improving safety.

The CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V safety-rated clamp meters offer advanced troubleshooting performance to capture a wide range of measurements with a single tool, including proprietary in-rush measurement technology to filter out noise and capture motor starting current exactly as the circuit protection sees it.

EXAIR Air Knives Cover Wide Spans, Resist Temperature and Corrosion

ExairEXAIR has expanded its stainless steel long super air knives to include a maximum length of 108 in. (2743mm) and is manufacturing all air knives 60 in. (1524 mm) and longer, which used to be two pieces, in a one-piece construction which eases installation and saves space. The corrosion-resistant design ensures seamless airflow and withstands temperatures up to 800 deg. F (427 deg. C). Air knives produce a laminar sheet of airflow to blow off, dry or cool large surfaces up to 108 in. (2743 mm) wide. The energy efficient design minimizes compressed air use by entraining 40 parts room air to one part compressed air. It is ideal for blowing corrosive chemicals off parts, drying food products, and cooling hot materials such as molten glass, castings and molded parts.

Leeson Electric Launches Next-Gen Extreme Duck Motor

LeesonElectric_ExtremeDuckUltraLeeson Electric is launching the next generation Extreme Duck Motor. The new design ensures that liquids don’t penetrate the motors in any mounting position and the motor is easier to install and connect because of unique colored leads.

A proprietary shaft seal that underwent a year of testing – 8,760 hours – is one of the motor’s unique features. Other features include:

  • Lead wires are non-wicking, and are colored and numbered for easy identification during installation

  • Installable in all mounting positions

  • Standard dual voltage and dual rotation

  • New encapsulation process with better materials ensure complete filling of the motors and curing of the epoxy encapsulation

  • All stainless steel exterior

  • Nameplate information is permanently etched into the frame

  • Conduit box on TEFC motors rotates 360 degrees

  • Inverter Duty IRIS insulation system

  • Corrosion resistant coating applied to rotor
